The aching head

My head cannot take it anymore..I wonder if this is nature's way of telling you to take a break, but considering im not the very very hard worker unless necessary, i dont know why i need one. Maybe this is because i had to re-schedule my working hours to early in the morning and still couldnt manage to sleep before all the world cup matches finished, thats at around 3 in the morning IST!!

But anyways, this post was more on the lines of the future of blogs as i have seen certain posts off late, any thing you can or do can be completely and totally misinterpreted using just a line or two of the post and then they just start a war!!

Imagine in the near future "My name is Yogi and this is my blog".."HE said YOGI, the fu**ing hindu religious bast**d, how dare you come up with a post like that", and a 150 war comments, man wouldnt that be fun, pardon the language!!

Or a telugu blog saying rape vasthaava(meaning come tomorrow), imagine his plight!!! Well, my point is ppl have forgotten the art of constructive criticism, sometimes the blogger themselves(like me in one occasion) and most often, the critic..a blog is usually only a medium of opinion and opinions need not be taken down so hard like it were a crime! I hope this post does not attract "that" kind of constructive criticism, till then..THE future of BLOGS!

And as always, till the bottom for the complete layout..i have to stop saying this :)

The concept of constructive criticism is completely lost on a lot of people today isn't it?

So many people simply construct their arguments (which often meander aimlessly) based solely on prejudices and stereotypes.

It just seems cool to make a lot of noise.

@sirisha

you put the words right into perspective, prejudices and stereotypes! It seems cooler to think that there is a point in everything meaningless that is said!

It is indeed true tht people including the blogger go beyong the realm of constructive critisism but how tollerant are we today...How much do we think tht we can respect another persons view if not accept the view....I dont think I do tht to be honest even though during my initial blogging days I told ppl I wanted constructive critisism...
Take a break man..If not for u for the others to see you!! :) :)

@scribblez

i agree! i have been extremely intolerant of a lot of comments, but then i guess all of us are looking for a certain pattern atleast and its the unexpected one which probably gets to us. i dont mind criticism as long as it raises a healthy arguement, not a facade just to pick up a fight! and who are these others who want to see over working me??:))

Het there would be very many girls who want to see your face besides it being glued to a screen....I would take breaks to see dudes!! :) So in a similar manner....who knows!

Well some people just comment for the sake of commenting...and some people comment to provoke. The blogger can be diplomatic about it and choose to have an argument or a discussion with the person who commented. without getting into an argument…like CONFUSED...who does it really well…then you have other people who would rather make a public mockery of the person...and tear the commenter apart. I don't wish to say what is right and what is wrong...but you DO get all sorts online.

Stereotypes - well these people hold their beliefs very close to their hearts and is difficult to make them see other perspectives...they are not BAD but they are narrow minded. It may be a good thing to have strong beliefs on subjects but you may not be very popular that way, if they can deal with that...then it's ok I guess.

What I'm trying to say basically boils down to this. There are characters with strong beliefs who post their strong opinions on various subjects...it's their blog...let them do what they want with it. As a commenter, you should know which ones to comment on and which ones you shouldn’t. I wouldn’t waste my time leaving 'constructive' or 'abusive' comments on Saveourindianfamily.com or get into a long argument with a YOUKNOWWHO ANON...simply because their intentions and beliefs are not similar to yours... nor are they going to listen to what you are going to say...at the same time as a blogger if you want constructive critisisms you should'nt take a very strong stand on any subject (which I sometime do)..that's when you get people to open up instead of getting a dozen comments from bobbleheads or people you would consider trolls because you think you're right and these people don't agree with you and things get nasty.

@reflextions

bingo! apart from that being three times the size of my post, i couldnt have put it better..the necessity of the comment is as relevant as the post itself..and the ability to accept criticism depends on the strength of your belief in that post too..but im just concerned about the vehemence with which they criticize, that was more my point. Constructive criticism always tries to break up logically rather than blatantly swear at the post, and it need not even be a sensitive topic!

Yogi said...

@reflextions

i have no clue how that got here, think i need to do some deleting!!and replied to his question too :)

Why Am I said...

when u dont get comments u wish u did and when u do...u have crappy comments from trolls who just provoke the others...i guess its like a normal conv dude...it happens in real life as well...two ppl talking and the third person butts in just for the heck of it...or just to start a conv...if u wanna criticise, atleast have substance!

Yogi said...

@why am i

:) zigackly!! provocation just to make yourself feel more important in something like a blog is just downright ridiculous, ppl actually want to read and write here, not compete to become king of blogdom!!

Yogi said...

@woodie
